When a tooth decays and damages several treatment options are available depending on the size and severity of the cavity.  For relatively small to mid size cavities composite resin filling and if the cavity is too big inlays (custom fit restoration made of gold or porcelain) are recommended.  If tooth is badly damaged or decayed a full crown is best.
